    Spettacolare! If you're searching for an authentic Italian dining experience in Naples, Florida, look no further than Dorona. Chef Jason's special of the night - a traditional Carbonara Rome style dish made with guanciale and bucatini exceeded my expectations in every way. This Carbonara was made the authentic Roman way, without the use of American-style heavy cream. Instead, Chef Jason relied on the natural richness of the eggs and guanciale to create a silky, velvety sauce that coated each strand of bucatini to perfection. It was a true masterclass in Carbonara, and I applaud Chef Jason for his dedication to traditional techniques and ingredients. Dorona, is a must-visit destination for any food lover. And be sure to try Chef Jason's Carbonara Romana - you won't regret it!

    LOVE YOU FUSILLI REASONS! The first celebration of my brothers marriage was hosted today at Dorona. There was a little bit of confusion when making these plans as our previous spot for having this celebration fell through. Luckily we were able to have a nice light lunch instead of a heavy dinner. I think everyone winded up liking this plan a whole lot better than the previous plan. Upon arriving to Dorona we were greeted not only by the hostess and host for the afternoon, but I'm pretty sure we also met with the owner. Everyone we came into contact with were lovely and very patient. They gave us our own private room and asked us if we wanted to turn off the music. A lot of the people on our group were older and the music was much too loud so this simple act of kindness was simply one of the nicest gestures. Yes we turned the music off for the private room, though could still hear it in the restaurant itself. The table the set for the nine of us was gorgeous. With a beautiful flower center piece too. Everyone found a spot to sit and we all got to talking. The fact that we were not straining our voices over loud music really made our lunch much more memorable. Everyone ordered something different off the menu. As the menu is big and has tons to offer. From steak and burgers to pasta and fish. There was something for everyone. I ordered the Brussel Sprout salad which came with shrimp, cranberries, and cheese with a white balsamic dressing. It was the perfect light lunch. After our entrees we each also had desserts. Most of us wanted to taste the cake slices. So each of us got a different type of cake and we all got to taste each others. The winner for sure was the chocolate cake. It was decadent with chocolate shavings and chopped pistachios on top. I love this restaurant. I've been here once before for a birthday dinner a few years back. It is the perfect spot for a big event or celebration.
